ABOUT MICHAEL

Michael has been coaching and teaching privately for over 20 years.  He has helmed guest seminars with students in several training programs, including the NYU/Atlantic Theater Acting School (currently on faculty), University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Naked Angels, The Actors Center, American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Rutgers University (Mason Gross School of the Arts).

Broadway: Glad Hand in the recent revival of West Side Story; Juror Number Five in Twelve Angry Men at the Roundabout; Gooper in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (with Ashley Judd/Jason Patric); Harry in Mamma Mia!; Rudolph Peterson in Judgement at Nuremberg;  Ziggy in Side Man (also in West End and at Kennedy Center); Frank in Barrymore (with Christopher Plummer); Buzz (u/s and performed) in Love! Valour! Compassion!

DIRECTING

Resident Artistic Director of George Street Playhouse, New Brunswick, NJ (LORT C), July 2015 -  April 2017.  Recent productions there include Daddy Long Legs (George Street), Nureyev’s Eyes (George Street/Delaware Theatre Company), Nora (Delaware Theatre Company), The Fabulous Lipitones and The Subject was Roses (both at George Street). 

Associate Director, West Side Story National Tour. 

Numerous celebrity benefit play readings for non-profit organizations with actors including: Edie Falco, Cynthia Nixon, John Slattery, Bernadette Peters, Zachary Quinto, Laura Benanti, Stockard Channing, Jean Smart, Melissa Leo, Beau Bridges, Michael McKean and Cecily Strong.
